Can We Hate The Patriarchy & Still Love Men?
Can we hate the patriarchy and still love men?
Short answer: yes
Long Answer: It's complicated
The rage. The grief. The fatigue. It's real.
And so is our desire to love and be loved by men (father, son, brother, partner, lover, and friend)
On March 8, a group of beautiful storytellers open up about our complicated experiences of learning to heal
Heal Her! International Women's Day Edition, March 8, 2026
Let’s dare to dream up a world where we are all doing the work to heal from the bullshit of patriarchy (and all the other isms that are tangled in).
All genders! All orientations! All learning how to be in the messy, ugly, but beautiful work of being in relationship with one another.
7 powerful storytellers step up to the mic, delving into the messy, funny, and raw terrain of healing. They’re honest, bold, and calling us into a deeper, more grounded love.
If you need a few shots of hope, we’ve got plenty.
And stay for the best part—the talkback.
We take your questions live. With honesty, compassion, and a no-bullshit policy, we tell it like it is

More about the concept:
As a relationship (couples) therapist, I encounter this request often: Heal Him! Partners recognizing the pain they see in the men they love and wanting them to heal. At times it’s delivered with compassion, other times it’s rooted in desperation, and sometimes it’s filled with rage and grief. I also recognize that within this landscape, all of us who are in relationship with men also need to heal from patriarchal wounds that have robbed us all of something sacred.
As a therapist, I also feel a strong pull to take healing out of the therapy office and into shared spaces where we can gather, witness, and feel together—daring to embrace the very messy journey of healing, growing, learning and unlearning. Heal Him is part of that experiment, and honestly, part of my joy.
Rooted in the art of storytelling, it allows us to connect with one another deeply. Each show is also a fundraiser, focusing on supporting local Indigenous organizations and services. This allows us to feel the joy of collectively making a difference, reminding us that change needs to happen collectively. We will be donating all of the ticket sales (after base costs are covered) to The Native Women's Resource Centre of Toronto (NWRCT)
Warmly,
Tamara- a human dreaming of ways to usher in a new world, one tiny offering at a time and who has been deeply moved by all the ways you are doing the same.
