Tamara is bold. Unfiltered. Unshakeable in her belief that love—real love—is the revolution.

Not the soft, wimpy, fairytale kind.

Tamara’s love affair with theatre began at age 13. Her small high school didn’t have theatre classes or a drama club, so she started one herself. In a high school gymnasium, she became the writer, director, producer, costume designer, set designer, and promoter—all rolled into one.

In 2007, she began her love affair with Fringe Festivals in Winnipeg, MB when she brought Strange Bedfellows featuring Confessions of a P.K. Pin up to stage. after a series of independently produced shows. In 2010 she toured her solo show Psycho Bitch to three cities across Canada. The show explored her experience of being misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder and navigating the mental health system, opening conversations about stigma, identity, and resilience.

Tamara has been a faculty member at the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy for the past nine years, where she trains and supervises therapists in relational theory and practice. Prior to her work at the Institute, she spent over two decades on the front lines of social services and community health.

A storyteller and artist at heart, Tamara has carved out space for her creative pursuits—writing, performing, and independently producing one-woman shows. She is now looking forward to blending her clinical and creative worlds in her next act.

In her clinical practice, Tamara is a registered psychotherapist specializing in couple therapy. For more information about this work, please visit www.tamaralynnrobert.com.
