About Lover Girl

From her bold beginnings as a street outreach crisis worker to the battlegrounds of couples therapy, Tamara Lynn Robert has spent three decades trying to make better lovers of us all …while struggling in her own disastrous love life. Professionally, she’s unstoppable. Personally, she’s a lover-girl train wreck. Lover is a funny, heroic and tender tale about what it really takes to love.

“Tamara Lynn Robert gives an emotional, raw and genuine performance …Well-written…a tribute to those living with a disorder. It gives them voice. It gives them justice. But most of all, it reminds us that sometimes the greatest cure we can give someone, is love.”

Lover Girl grew out of a simple idea: to tell the truth about love.

The messy, the funny, the ugly, the heartbreaking, and sometimes embarrassing parts of love.

After all, the most important story we ever tell is the one we tell ourselves about how we have loved and let ourselves be loved.

From opposites attract to rainbow kisses. And unions that defy definition. From “I only have eyes for you” to “lovers aplenty,” to aces, friendships and metamours—chosen families and polycules. However you define yourself and construct your relational world, may you choose love.
